HISTORY: I have lived in many different places here in New Zealand but think I will now remain in Thames, the town known as the gateway to the Coromandel Peninsular, which is an area of beautiful beaches, native bush and many lovely stoney creeks.
I am lucky enough to have a nice little creek right at the bottom of the garden.
Some years ago I started working with stained glass, but recently my daughter and I have been using the the same copper foil process, only applying it to our New Zealand Paua shell instead of glass.
Paua is by far the most colourful of all the abalone species (haliotis iris) with irridiscent shades of greens and blues, through to creams and pinks. We have been producing unique Paua flowers and mirrors with Paua frames, and will add more product to this site as we develop more designs, so please do visit again some time.
